— Intelligent: Claudia is smart as a whip. She's a quick learner, and she's very good at reading people and situations, even when she was young. She has a strong interest in learning more about other vampires, and even in a society that is not built to accomodate her (someone who appears to most people to be a young Black girl), she will do what she can to get the resources she needs. She's willing to play the long game – as she's matured, she's got a much better handle on her temper, so she's more likely to lie in wait than lash out and ruin any advantage she might have. She is very good at thinking a few steps ahead, demonstrated in her plan to kill Lestat: she preempted his use of Antoinette to listen in on private telepathic conversations between herself and Louis, and accounted for it in her plan, while balancing Louis's conflicted loyalty to and love for Lestat in the middle of it all.
— Determined: Once she's put herself on a path, it's difficult to divert Claudia from it, even if you're someone she cares deeply about (like Louis). She's fiercely independent, and will push back against rules that try to constrain her. Even when Louis says he won't come with her to Europe to learn more about their vampire heritage, she goes anyway, even knowing what she's doing by leaving him with Lestat. As much as she can without putting herself in danger, she even pushes back against Lestat, insisting that he tell her and Louis about his past, and renegotiating her place in their strange vampire family.
— Protective: Claudia is deeply protective of Louis, resentful of the way he feels about Lestat as much because it puts him in danger as because it prevents her from being to rid herself of Lestat entirely. When Lestat and Louis fight in Episode 5, Claudia is deeply distressed to hear Louis in pain, and tries to put herself between them as much as possible, and after Lestat drops Louis out of the sky and disappears, Claudia helps nurse him back to health. Her love for Louis is strong enough that she will tolerate his lifestyle choice to only feed from animals, even though she disagrees with it. This protective nature doesn't really extend past Louis right now, but with the right kind of relationship, who knows.
— Borderline sociopathic: Claudia is a killer, and in this way she's as much Lestat's fledgling as she is deeply loyal to Louis. She settled quickly into her life as a vampire, running on instinct, enjoyment, and the immediate satisfaction of base desires like hunger. She actively enjoys hunting, and it's more than just for sustenance for her: as she was growing up, she began to take "trophies" from her victims, including parts of their bodies that she cut off, as well as keeping a victim at the brink of death in her wardrobe for an unknown amount of time. She's also fascinated by the last words of her victims, keeping them alive long enough to be able to hear and record them in her diary. She even wrote Lestat's "final words" in her diary with his own blood as it spurted from his neck. She has an intense bloodlust that is all the more disturbing because it's melded with her capacity for childlike glee.
— Manipulative: Claudia is very willing to use her age and appearance to her advantage, pulling puppy-dog eyes and stomping her foot in a tantrum if she feels it will aid her. She's not above playing the role of a child to lull someone into a false sense of security, even if her childish appearance is a constant source of internal conflict for her – she frequently uses this to bring her targets close in order to kill them, and uses her apparent naïveté to stave off police who come knocking on their door to investigate a number of dead bodies that have appeared in the vicinity. They were, for the record, Claudia's victims, badly disposed in a river that regularly bursts its banks, the bodies mutilated after death.
— Forever young: Claudia is forever going to be a fourteen-year-old, and although she's lived thirty-six years and has an adult mind, she has the body and occasionally the inclinations of a teenager. She is excessively hungry because of her teenage metabolism, and she's prone to intense moodswings and dramatic tantrums when her emotions get the better of her. She can switch from calm and collected to crying and breaking things in a split second, and she's extremely hard to tame because of it. She's also disconcertingly gleeful and upbeat in the face of intense situations like murders, almost being arrested for said murders, and dramatically killing her maker: as Lestat chokes on the blood spurting from his throat, Claudia mocks his gasps, clutching at her own throat in a cruel, exaggerated taunt. Claudia is very much a grown woman in her own mind, but she's also a child spoiled by her "fathers", and she can lapse into tantrum-throwing when things don't go her way, or when she isn't indulged.

Claudia will lose the advantages of her vampire nature (such as her supernatural speed, strength and endurance, and her ability to read minds), but I'll be keeping the same limitations as established by the other IWTV vampires, specifically:
– She must drink blood to survive. Animal blood will sustain her, but blood from humans is better. Blood from dead creatures is basically poison, and if she doesn't feed it will kill her eventually.
– "Human" food does not nourish her.
– She will burn in the sun, but it's not lethal.
– She will not age, remaining physically fourteen forever.
– She will keep some other cosmetic aspects of her appearance, such as her scary red eyes, her glassy nails, her sculpted smooth skin, and her retractable fangs.
